The Torah contains rituals —not just moral commands or civil laws. In fact, a large portion of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy is devoted to ritual instructions that shaped Israel’s worship and daily life. 1. Types of Rituals in the Torah Sacrificial Rituals Burnt offerings, sin offerings, peace offerings, grain offerings (Leviticus 1–7). Purpose: atonement, thanksgiving, fellowship with God. Priestly Rituals Consecration of priests (Exodus 29). Daily incense burning, lamp-lighting, and bread of the Presence (Leviticus 24).
