Prophecies of The End Times

Excluding Revelation, several other books in the Bible contain significant end-times (eschatological) prophecies. Here's a list ordered roughly by the density and clarity of such prophecies:

1. Daniel

Often called the “Old Testament Revelation,” Daniel is foundational for apocalyptic imagery:

  • Four kingdoms and the eternal kingdom (Daniel 2, 7)

  • The “Seventy Weeks” prophecy (Daniel 9:24–27)

  • The rise of the Antichrist-like figure (Daniel 11)

2. Ezekiel

Rich in symbolic visions and restoration themes:

  • Gog and Magog war (Ezekiel 38–39)

  • Millennial temple and restored land (Ezekiel 40–48)

  • Resurrection imagery (Ezekiel 37)

3. Zechariah

Highly messianic and apocalyptic:

  • The Day of the Lord (Zechariah 14)

  • Mourning for the pierced one (Zechariah 12:10)

  • Final siege of Jerusalem and divine intervention

4. Isaiah

Blends messianic and end-times visions:

  • New heavens and new earth (Isaiah 65–66)

  • Global judgment and restoration (Isaiah 24–27)

  • The reign of the righteous King (Isaiah 11)

5. Joel

Short but potent:

  • The Day of the Lord (Joel 2–3)

  • Cosmic signs and outpouring of the Spirit (Joel 2:28–32)

6. Matthew

Especially chapters 24–25 (Olivet Discourse):

  • Signs of the end of the age

  • Parables of readiness and judgment

7. 1 & 2 Thessalonians

Paul’s letters to clarify confusion about Christ’s return:

  • The “man of lawlessness” (2 Thessalonians 2)

  • The rapture and resurrection (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18)

  • Destruction will happen during "Peace and Safety" (1 Thess 5:3)

8. 1 & 2 Peter

  • The Day of the Lord and cosmic renewal (2 Peter 3)

  • Warnings about false teachers and judgment

9. Jeremiah

While more focused on near-term judgment, it hints at future restoration and messianic hope (e.g., Jeremiah 30–33).
